The Caribbean is the perfect place to take that weekend getaway or that romantic honeymoon. All of the Caribbean islands offer both tranquility and adventure. However, the most challenging decision one is frequently faced with is which Caribbean island you should visit on your next vacation. After all, there are so many beautiful islands to choose from, each with its own uniqueness and appeal.

For the island hopper and for those Americans needing a quick escape from reality, the Bahamas would be a great choice, as its islands are the closest to the main land of the US. The Bahamas has something for everyone. With a true mixture of cosmopolitan chic to historical charm of the Grand Bahama Island, to the quiet getaway island of Mayaguana where you will find untouched white sand beaches and a population of about 300 people.
For the surfer, you will find that the various beaches on Barbados are perfect. The visitor will also find it fun to listen to the British accents that are common on this medium sized island.
Another charming and quiet place is Bermuda. Situated in the Atlantic Ocean, Bermuda is a golfer’s dream. You will also find beautiful beaches that create a pink hue to the color of the sand, not to mention the quaint colored houses that line the streets.
One of the most interesting islands of the Caribbean sits a tiny island in the southern part. Visitors will find that Bonaire is really known for its spectacular offshore diving adventures and its pioneering role in the preservation of nature. Bonaire is described by many as “Best Kept Secret”.
Located in the western Caribbean, the Cayman Islands is not only a beautiful place to visit, it is also a major world offshore financial center. You will not find the nightlife that one would find on other islands, but you will find charm and warm people spread over the Cayman Islands that are proud of its quieter culture.
Attention all divers, beach goers, and shoppers! Explore Curacao and you will find that the island has more than sixty diving locations, intimate and secluded beaches and high-end retailers. Whatever your preferences, Curacao promises you a wonderful travel experience.
